If there is such a thing associated with the Winston Cup cars, it must be packed in the basic game. Are you sure you did a FULL install from the CD? In there, you should find a file labeled F2000.BAT and another named F2000.EXE.Try clicking on one then the other. One of them SHOULD start the F2000 mod. Once you determine which one does, simply 'COPY' and 'PASTE' it to your desktop.Go to the LOTUS F3 FOLDER in the Nascar Heat directory.
In there, you should find a file labeled LOTUS F3.BAT and another named LOTUS F3 with no extension. But the file 'type' will be identified as a 'shortcut'.Try clicking on on then the other.
One of them SHOULD start the Lotus mod.If the game still will not start, copy and paste the BAT files on your desktop. Try to start the game again. When you do, a small window may pop up and say HEAT not designed to run in WINDOWS 2000, what to continue? Click YES and see if it works.NOW, if that doesn't run, RIGHT click on the ICON on your desktop for the F2000 mod. CLICK on the 'PROPERTIES' feature.Click on the shortcuttab. Make sure the TARGET LINE for F2000 reads as follows:'c:program fileshasbro interactiveNASCAR heatNHeat.exe' -mod:F2000-noautoplayALL quote marks and spaces should be included. The Lotus is a little different so lets see if we can get the F2000 working first.Then, click on the 'COMPATABILITY' tab.

Hi Brooks,You clearly do not have somthing installed correctly. Heat is really easy to setup and run mods, usually if it is the first time you have installed Heat and things don't run correctly it usualy has to do with the install of the original Nascar game.I would suggest removing everything you have done and start from scratch. You can remove Heat by going to your control panel and the to Add Remove programs and remove everything Heat related.Then go to our web site under the utilities section and read the Newbie Heat guide.It will walk you through the complete install process step bt step, as well as answer some basic troubleshooting problems.I hope this helps get you up and running.
